There are a great many techniques and activities on offer to assist with the improvement of self esteem. Whilst they all have a common goal, the improvement of an individual's self believe and self worth, some require group participation, others physical participation and then there are those that take a more cerebral approach, with a conscious change to thought patterns and beliefs.

Joan Breiner and Susyn Reeve have developed self-esteem-experts.com. With a background of over 35 years experience in Self Development and Training, they offer a huge range of activities, services and products to assist in the development of self esteem. Joan Breiner also serves as the Executive Director of the National Association for Self Esteem (NASE) and together they work alongside schools, universities, corporations and medical centers.

Breiner and Reeve offer a three-step lesson plan as an approach on how to boost low self esteem.

Lesson One introduces the workings of the brain and provides an understanding into how thoughts and thought processes can be changed. Its aim is to strengthen the reader's belief that positive change is attainable.

Lesson Two breaks down what we believe about ourselves, and where those beliefs stem from. Breiner and Reeves provide a free "What I believe" worksheet to explore the beliefs we have held about ourselves all our lives and their validity.

Lesson Three offers meditation and relaxation techniques. Breiner and Reeves believe that the practice of meditation is one of the most powerful tools towards the improvement of self esteem.

Lesson four, the final lesson is about learning to love yourself. Activities are on offer to assist with this and promote the positive effect of self appreciation and how to treat yourself with respect.

The above therapeutic activities for the improvement of self esteem are just some of the tools on offer from Breiner and Reeves, and the multitude of other organizations and websites on the subject. They present a comprehensive introduction into the understanding of low self esteem, and the opportunities there are available to improve it.
